InVitrus media were originally developed for the in vitro maintenance of human T-lymphoma cell lines, mammalian kidney cell lines, and monolayers of primary chicken embryo fibroblasts for viral replication in chemically defined, protein and peptide-free culture environments. The authenticated and certified serum-free cell lines BHK21-InVitrus, COS-1-InVitrus and COS-7-InVitrus available at the European Collection of Animal Cell Cultures(ECACC) can be routinely cultivated and baked with the InVitrus media.
