The product is a monoclonal antibody against human CD3 molecule which expressed on mature T cell. In mammals, CD3 combines with TCR and CD247 molecules to form TCR-CD3 complex and then mediates T cell activation. CD3 molecule is composed of one γ chain, one δ chain and two ε chains, and is responsible for the singnaling transduction for T cell activation. Therefore, T cells also can be directly induced into actiavation and proliferation by antibodies (such as O KT3 ) targeted CD3 molecule.The target epitope recognized by OKT3 is the ε chain of CD3. O KT3 reacts with all peripheral T cells and CD3+ thymocytes in human. This product is s uitable for the activation and expansion of T lymphocytes.
